Enthusiasm

Enthusiasm is created by the teacher or professor with their will to create a better learning environment within the classroom for every and all students.  Enthusiasm isn't just brought upon by having the teacher show up to class and want to get it over with.  Enthusiasm is created by the will of the teacher to want the students to strive and do their best in whatever class they are taking.  It is the teachers job to make the students want to learn and want to be there.  With the teachers enthusiasm that will create students that are eager to learn and do well in school, and with the enthusiasm of the students they will want to strive to do there best and it will raise the level of energy in the classroom creating an environment that students want to be apart of.

Revision of Love or Not To Love

After reading several of my fellow class mates blog my opinion has not been impacted at all.  Each of them made a clear point in how they felt about love and if you could choose who you loved.  They all had different points of views and different perspectives on the topics yet none of them impacted my final thoughts about love.  As I explained in my previous post love is an emotion that comes naturally to all persons it is a common feeling like being happy or sad.  It's a feeling about being in love.  Whether you are in love with a man a women your guinea pig or food love it is the same emotion of love. You cant choose not to love someone or something everyone has something they love in their life.  People items or persons whom they love will vary and change depending on their personality or their character. Though looking at peoples blogs it gave me a different perspective on their thoughts about love and how they feel about it.

Love or Not Love

Love is something that your feel and it can also be shown through a variety of different ways and through gestures. Love is not something that you choose, it is something that is brought upon you. You cannot choose the person that you love or the food that you love. Your brain and heart choose for you. You do not get to deside the one that you love, that is up to your heart and your mind. And when that person feels the same way towards you as you do to them then you have met your soul mate. You can choose to be alone and never marry in life but you can't choose not to love. Everyone feels some emotion of love towards a mate or towards their parents or siblings. Love is an emotion that everyone has and feels at one point or another in their life.

None is Enough

None is Enough by Laura Scott is about women who decide that their lives are perfect the way they are and see no need to have children.  These women are happy individuals so have husbands and some do not.  Up until roughly then 21st century it was common for women to have a large amount of children.  Even today it is still common in some religions or family traditions. Back in the 1900’s ‘motherhood wasn't seen as an option, it’s more a given’. Meaning that people didn't think not to have kids every women around them had a family and kids, it almost wasn't an option not to have children.  Some teenage girls know they don’t want any children of their own.  Laura Scott has made that decision by age 14, she was married just with no kids.  Scott waited for a time that she felt was right to have kids but that time never came and she explained that she “loved her life the way it was.”   In today’s society we almost never ask “Why do you have children?” the more common question would be “Why don’t you have children?”   In the upcoming years we will see a decrease in women wanting to have children.  More women are deciding that there life is fine without a child and would rather be pursuing their dream job rather worrying about crying little babies.  Oprah Winfrey explains that “she has none- not one regret about not having children- because she believes that is the way it is suppose to be.” Dolly Parton said “my songs are like my children-I expect them to support me when I’m old”.  Dolly brings up a important point about having children and them taking care of you when you are old.  She describes her songs as kids and how they will help her get though her older years with the help of nurses.  For some people they rely on the help and support of their children.  Laura Scott described how she left about children and she added other woman’s insight on they feel about having children and changing their whole lives.  She says in the last paragraph of the editorial that the toughest years for a woman are her late 30’s and going into her early 40’s.  She described it as “going solo” in her life. This is the point in her life when she is alone and usually around this time mothers have teenagers and are adjusting to their everyday needs.  Laura Scott shows the perspective of women who are completely satisfied with their lives and feel as if they do not need any children to help the be happy.  More and more women are starting to feel as if having children won’t make them any happier.  They are breaking away from tradition of having large families and many kids.

Questions

C- Courtney
M- Mom

C- Can I ask you some questions for English class?
M- Yeah let me just go feed your guinea pig and then you can ask me them
C- Ok

* Mom feeds guinea pig, and then returns*

C- Are you ready now?
M- Yes
C- Okay so I have to ask you questions about love and your children for English class and like we just have to talk about it.  We can make a video post if you want to so I don't have to type everything out.
M- No I don't want to make a video post, if you think that would be easier then interview your guinea pig Autumn then.
C- Guinea pigs don't talk so I guess I will just have to type everything out
M- Yeah
C- Okay so upon having your first two children two years apart would you change the four year difference between the second and the third
M- No I don't think so
C- With responses like that i might as well go interview Autumn
M- Sorry no I would not change the age difference between my children because I believe they are perfectly spread out and they belong in the order that they are in
C- That's nice, knowing each one of your children's unique personality would you change our names now to fit what our attitude and our personality has become
M- No I believe that you three all have your names for a reason and they fit your personality wonderful
C- Cool.
M- I have to go give Autumn some water I will be right back

*Gives Autumn water, run to stop and shop goes to Luke's soccer game and comes back 3 hours later*

C- So I can see who the favorite child is here
M- Sorry
C- Yeah
M- Whats your other questions?
C- Do you think caring for a little boy baby is easier then caring for a girl baby?
M- I think they are equally as challenging but so rewarding but diffidently caring for a young boy going into their teen years is easier then a girls
C- So I was hard to take care of?
M- Nope your perfect
C- Ok good. Do you wish you had me at a different period in you life, when you were younger or older?
M- Nope I believe I had you at the right time in my life
C- Do you wish that you raised us in a different environment? Like in a different state or town?
M- Its hard to tell
C- That didn't answer my question..
M- Oh. Well I like the town that you were raised in, but I would not know differently about other towns
C- Only having 3 children do you wish you had more?
M- Nope 3 is the perfect amount for our family
C- Do you wish you had 3 girls, 3 boys, 1 boy and 2 girls or do you like it the way it is?
M- I think its perfect the way it is
C- You say that about every one of my questions
M- I think our family is good the way it is
C- Oh
M- Do you have anymore questions, I have to go feed the cat
C- No I don't....................................wait who is your favorite child and you cant say Autumn
M- Obviously you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE END.

Flifferhuzza

Fliffernuzza. Adjective; an expression used to describe something that has happened or a bad thing that is happening now.
Ex. Oh fliffernuzza I just ran over my cat!
Can also be used in context of...
That broken knee was fliffernuzza nasty.
Synonyms: nasty, gross, horrible, bad, terrible
Antonyms: happy, rainbows, glad, exciting, proud

There was a cat and he thought his life was going great and wonderful. He had his cat wife and 18 kitten children. He named them all the same names so he could remember them since he had got into a fliffernuzza car accident.  From that terrible accident he lost his short term memory and could only remember some thing and things from the past. He could remember up to the car crash that he had caused. It was one fliffernuzza of a mess.  There was tires and glass everywhere. The cat had to go to the hospital and get a full body cast, each day and night he cried "oh fliffernuzza!!!!!" "What have I done?" The nurse cat tried to calm him down and assure him that everything was going to be alright. In the end he was fine but couldn't remember his own name.
             The End.

P.S this is a true story about my cat

Adults Learning From Children

Children have a lot on their mind and they have a lot of knowledge to share.  Children think in different and sometimes more complex ways then adults do.  Students have to offer and share their experiences with adults.  In classrooms teacher are normal the ones teaching or educating the students but this little girl Adora Svirak is trying to show that students should have more of a voice and teachers some often listen to what they have to say and what they have to offer in terms of learning.  She is talking about what little freedom adults give children.  I agree, adults/teachers put so many restrictions on kids/students it is hard for us to say what we want and its hard to express what we like.  The combine knowledge of students and teachers along with children and their parents our knowledge would expand greatly creating a more diverse learning system.

Best Friend Ad

In a best friend I am looking for someone with a good sense of humor.  My best friend must be able to laugh at his/her own joke along with mine.  Another positive quality my best friend should have would be trustworthy and loyal to me.  They should not go behind my back and do mean things.   They should be nice/kind to me and also to my family.   My best friend should be fun and entertaining to be around.  They should be able to make whatever we are doing a good time.  My best friend should also be like a brother/sister to mean and when we fight we should be able to make up right  away.

Perspective

During winter I am a bud on a tree,
that you are yet to see.
Spring come around I am to be seen,
the color i am is a very light green.
Spring changes to fall,
I am still high in the tree so tall.
My colors change or orangish red,
soon I will be on the ground dead.
Winter is coming quickly,
I fell off and am becoming every so sickly.
I lay on the ground stepped on,
awaiting to be raked up.
My season is coming soon,
Ill be awaiting the coming of the sun
And again ill be free to color the branches
of the big trees.

Courage

Courage is "quality of being brave: the ability to face danger, difficulty, uncertainty, or pain without being overcome by fear or being deflected from a chosen course of action."  I was courageous when I was an off-duty lifeguard this past summer.  I was at the beach one day with my friends, we spent the whole day there and planned on having dinner there to watch the sunset.  While enjoying the setting sun and the yummy pizza we had in front of us, I noticed a swimmer.  The waves had grown twice the size they were that day and there was no lifeguards on duty.  The swimmer looked as if he was struggling and needed help.  I knew if I went out and tried to help him I could have been taken down by the waves or pushed under by this full grown adult.  That was my biggest fear that the lap swimmer, would have been so shaken up and nervous by the undertow that he was in and would have tried to push me under.  I knew that I would regret every moment of not helping this struggling man for the rest of my life so I decided to be courageous and dive in and help him.  I told myself that I wouldn't get too close for the safety of myself.  I swam out towards the distressed swimmer and began to tell him what to do.  I instructed him to not try and swim in but rather swim parallel to the shore in order to break out of the rip current.  The man and I swam about 15  yards and we had escaped the rip current and swam safety back to the shore.  The man thanked me numerous times and said how grateful he was to have someone as courageous as me there to help him.
